I've just come across a Settimio Soprani 80/34 for sale in my area. The seller doesn't know much about it, but in the photos it looks okay although the keys look yellowish (ivory perhaps?). The price is pretty cheap.
I know you can't tell much about from the photo, but any feedback would be welcome to help me decide whether it is worth my time to go and view it.
Thanks

Looking at the picture the yellowing isn`t too bad for the age.
Most vintage accordions do look good on the outside but it`s more about the condition of the reeds , valves , and mechanisms inside and with any vintage accordion it`s almost always a given that it WILL need some amount of work to bring it up to a good playing standard .
Minor repair work and adjustments can be usually be done at a reasonable cost but major work can be expensive so this definitely needs to be factored into the purchase price.
Giving it a good play should give you a fairly good indication of it`s playing condition but if you aren`t capable of that you should take someone along who is.
